It is like making a lassagna but instead of using pasta you will use plantain. Plantain is a bigger banana fruit and when it is ripe or yellow it is very sweet but different from regular banana. Depending how big you want it two plantain should be enough for an oven dish 25x25x5cm or close to that.
1. 2 yellow plantain( the more yellow they are the more sweeter they will be). Peel them and cut them in half, take each half and slice them along about 3mm thick in order to create strips like the lasagna pasta. Fry them around two or three min or until golden on both sides. Set them on paper towel to absorb excess oil.
2. You can use ground beef or chicken for the meat. About 1/2 kilo or as much as needed depending on the size of your dish. Cook it with tomato sauce, diced onion and green pepper. Add salt and black pepper to your taste.
3. Cover the bottom of the dish with plantain and put mozarella cheese on top of the plantain then cover with meat. Repeat the process for a second layer and if you have left over plantain just put it on top and cover the top with cheese just like a lasagna.
4. Put it on the oven( microwave or conventional) and heat it until all the cheese melts.
